Kiss the Kitty: (Her Dad’s Best Friend) Page 5

  Katherine

Katherine’s whole body shook as he swirled his tongue around her clit and sucked it into his mouth.

It was so good, she couldn’t control herself any longer. Her hands went into his hair, pulling him against her, needing him closer, wanting more…more…more.

He was on top of her so fast she barely had time to blink. Pinning her wrist above her head, “What did I tell you?” he growled.

Oh no… “Please don’t stop, James, please,” she begged.

“I don’t know, I thought I made myself clear,” he said, in a teasing tone — thank God.

“You did, and I’ll be good now, I promise.” But just as the vow passed her lips, she felt his hard cock against her stomach and immediately her willpower began slipping. She wanted to wrap her legs around him and rub herself against his massive erection.

God, she had no control over herself. But he did…

Straddling her, he pulled the shirt she was wearing up her body. “Yes, you’re going to be a good girl now, I’ll make sure of it,” he said, tying the shirt around her wrists and securing them to the headboard. “Because I was just getting started with your pretty little virgin pussy.”

He began kissing his way down her body. Paying special attention to her breasts. Nibbling, sucking, licking her nipples, making her moan incoherently, before moving lower, until his mouth was on her again, devouring her till she was screaming his name.

“Come for me, Kitty” he growled against her pussy, the vibrations sending her over the edge.

He kept licking and sucking as she rode the waves, and just as she thought she was coming down from her high, another orgasm began building “Oh my God…” she moaned.

His fingers replaced his tongue, and he got up on his knees between her legs. He kept working her pussy with his fingers as he fisted his cock with his other hand and began pumping.

It was without a doubt the hottest thing she’d ever seen.

Beads of sweat running down his powerful, muscular chest, the tip of his cock leaking. “Again,” he growled. “Come for me, little virgin.” His command pushed her over the edge, she threw her head back, screaming his name as wave after wave of her intense orgasm washed over her.

He wasn’t far behind. Roaring through his release, he came all over her chest, her stomach, her pussy.

Spent, he collapsed beside her on the bed.

Laying there catching their breath, she looked over at him. His breathing was heavy, his chest moving up and down. She wanted to touch him so bad, but he’d made it clear, he didn’t want that. Also, she was still tied up.

Her eyes traveled lower to his cock, glistening and still hard.

Oh God, she wanted him again. Wanted what they’d just done and more, she wanted his cock. It was scary big, but she still wanted it.

  So much.

She bit her lip as she lifted her gaze to his face. He was watching her and for a moment they just lay there staring into each other’s eyes. That magnetic pull between them stronger than ever.

She didn’t register moving, but somehow the distance between them vanished until their lips were only a hairsbreadth apart.

  BUZZZZ….

  BUZZZZZZZ….

The sound zapped them into reality, and the moment was gone, ruined by the vibrating noise coming from behind James.

He broke eye contact, sat up, and got his phone out of the pocket of his jacket. He didn’t answer, but winced when he looked at the screen.

“We agreed,” he said without looking at her. “We will not talk about this, ever.” There was finality in his voice but also a hint of regret.

He reached over and untied her. She wrapped the shirt around her as she too sat up. She didn’t agree, but what was the point of arguing? He’d made up his mind, and why did she have to want what she couldn’t have?

  “Katherine?”

Ouch! So, no more Kitty then. It felt like her heart was being trampled on. She looked up at him watching her, his expression tense, and he was holding his breath waiting for her response.

She nodded, letting him of the hook.

The phone began buzzing again, and it was her turn to wince when she saw the screen; John.

She understood. This was the way it had to be.

  CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

  James

It was pure torture. James closed his laptop and leaned back in his chair, his eyes on the beauty sleeping on the sofa in his home office.

It was torture, but it was self-inflicted. He could have stayed away. Could have worked late at Reed’s like he had the first night. Like he’d intended to do before. Before he tasted her, before he saw her unravel in pleasure just for him.

How on earth had he thought that was going to make him want her any less?

  He was a freaking idiot.

Instead of keeping his distance after what happened, he found himself leaving the work early these last few days. Not wanting to admit even to himself why, he tried making up excuses. He was just being hospitable. What was wrong with that? And so what if he enjoyed having company? It was nice not coming home to an empty house. That was the only reason, he kept telling himself.

It had nothing to with who he was coming home to. Nothing whatsoever, at all. It could have been anyone, any random person, really. It would have been entirely, completely, and exactly that same.

Except, of course, for a few things he couldn’t reason out, no matter how he tried. Like the fact that every time she gave him that sweet smile of hers, his heart skipped a beat, and how he seemed to have a permanent hard-on whenever she was in the proximity, and how he was constantly imagining bending her over whatever piece of furniture was nearby and fucking her so hard, she would never think of another man.

Yes, he was a freaking idiot.

But they both played the part they’d agreed on. Acting as if it never happened. No talking about it, no thinking about it.

Except, he was constantly thinking about it, he couldn’t stop thinking about it, and sometimes, it seemed she was too.

It was in the way she looked at him sometimes, when she didn’t know he noticed.

Or maybe he was just imagining things. Honestly, he didn’t know what to think about anything anymore, least of all her. He’d had such a clear picture of her before. Now, nothing seemed to fit.

I’ve been way off about her, he thought, watching her on the sofa. She’d fallen asleep while reading. Keeping up with her classes, determined not to fall behind.

He smiled to himself. she was mischievous, spirited, playful, but not self-destructive like he used to think.

And God was she beautiful. He could stare at her for hours.

She stirred in her sleep, causing her blanket to slide down her lower half. The long sweater she was wearing had ridden up, revealing her pale pink panties.

Seriously, what did she have against pants?

She shifted again and the blanket slid lower, exposing the angry red mark on her upper thigh. His mark.

God, he hadn’t been able to help himself, even as he swore it was just going to be that one taste.

If she wasn’t a virgin, would he have been able to stop himself from taking her? Did it matter? She was, and he’d told himself that wasn’t his to take. But it hadn’t stopped him from marking her. Because the thought of anyone else taking her was unbearable.

He’d been able to restrain himself for a while, but his resolve had been slipping. The truth was if John hadn’t called he might not have snapped out of it.

All of this was going to end though. John had almost sorted things out. Which meant she would leave soon and he would be alone again.

It had been nice coming home to someone. That hadn’t been a lie.

His life, because of how hard he worked not to be like the rest of his family, had become all work and no play.

It had turned out that way, but he had never wanted to be alone. He remembered buying this house, thinking someday. Someday it wouldn’t be just him,
he would share it with someone.

But it had been a long time since he even tried to put himself out there. She’d been right, he was scared. He liked to keep things predictable controllable. Love wasn’t like that.

On the sofa Katherine mumbled something incoherent in her sleep, and began writhing.

  Was she having a nightmare?

He couldn’t make out anything she was saying, but she sounded distressed.

He left his desk and came over to her, just as she began trashing.

“Katherine, wake up.” He tried to get through to her. “Katherine.”

Abruptly, she sat up straight. She was shaking, her breathing fast, her eyes panicky.

“It’s all right, calm down,” he told her, holding out his arms.

She looked up at him, and immediately accepted his embrace, wrapping her arms around his neck.

“Don’t worry, sweetie, it was just a nightmare,” he said holding her tighter.

“Yeah, I know,” she murmured, “I just wish they’d stop already.”

“What do you mean?” he asked, looking at her. “Has this been happening a lot?”

“Yeah, ever since that night. I think it’s just my mind trying to make sense of it, because I don’t remember what happened,” She said.

  “Do you remember the dream?”

“Not really. Just running, being anxious, scarred, feeling like someone was chasing me, but no one was there. I just kept running, trying to get to people, to get to safety, but I couldn’t find anyone.”

John’s words slipped into his mind again, ‘it’s like she wanted to get caught.’ He may have been right.

She sighed. “God, I must have been so out of it.” She shook her head. “I’m so stupid!”

“No you’re not,” he said wrapping his arms around her again. “And you’re safe now.”

“I know,” she said, resting her head against his shoulder.

He sat there for a long time, holding her, running his fingers through her hair. He would have sat there all night if she wanted him to, and almost resisted when she finally pulled away from him.

“Thank you,” she said looking up at him.

Christ, those eyes, those lips. That magnetic pull was there instantly, drawing him in.

  “James,” she whispered.

Fuck! He forced his eyes off her and cleared his throat.

“I should probably go to bed,” she said.

“Yeah…um...of course…try to get some sleep.” He released her.

“Yeah,” she said and got off the sofa. As she got to the door, she turned around. “Good night, James.”

“Good night, Kit…Katherine,” he told her.

She smiled at him, and then she was gone.

Groaning, James fell back on the sofa, and stared at the ceiling.

It couldn’t go on like this.

It wasn’t right, and he knew what he had to do.

  CHAPTER NINETEEN

  Katherine

He was going through with it.

She’d known all along this was coming, but she still didn’t feel prepared for it.

Don’t think about it, focus on your book, she told herself. For about a millionth time.

It didn’t work. Her eyes kept drifting over to his desk. Abandoned and alone, just like her.

Okay, pull yourself together, this is getting pathetic. It didn’t mean anything, get it through your head.

Just because they’d been getting along didn’t mean he would change his mind.

He had established the rules before anything had happened and that was that. Getting it out of their system. That was all it was supposed to be. It hadn’t worked on her, but it must have been enough for him. Some tension was still there, okay, a lot, but he didn’t act on it, and they just pretended it wasn’t there. He probably didn’t want to lead her on.

He was a nice guy, probably hoping if he treated her with respect, she wouldn’t tell her father about the mistake he’d made. Though, somehow that logic didn’t want register in her mind.

Despite the tension, she’d really enjoyed the time they’d spent together.

She had expected him to keep his distance after ‘the incident that must not be mentioned’. But he didn’t. He actually came home early.

In the evening, she would read in his office while he finished up some work. He would put on those glasses, she would get distracted, and would have to battle her inner brat. Because she knew he meant what he’d promised, and he kept what he promised.

Yeah, he was like that. Which was very admirable of course — up to a point.

Over the past days, they had gotten to know each other a lot better. They had spent a lot of time together just talking. He’d told her about his business and family. A lot of his uptightness, though she found it adorable, made more sense now.

He seemed genially interested in her too. Asked her about her studies, her plans, he’d even heard her presentation, the one she was supposed to give that morning instead of landing herself in this mess.

He also listened to her talk about people in her life, her sorority sisters, her friends. Not Paul though, James didn’t want to hear about him. If he came up, James skillfully steered the conversation in a different direction.

Barbara was another topic that was off limits.

Even that entire day, he hadn’t said a word, but she knew where he was going. He was going to be with her.

She knew, because the night before, when he probably thought she’d gone to bed, she’d gone down to the kitchen for a glass of water. On her way back upstairs, she’d overheard the end of his conversation. ‘Tomorrow night then...great.’

“The car is ready. Are you sure you don’t want me to drive?” She heard Thomas say out in the hallway.

“Thank you, Thomas. No, I’m fine,” James told him.

He already said goodnight to her. She hadn’t dared ask if that mean he would be out late…or all night.

As soon as she heard the front door close, she hurried of the sofa and over to the window. She watched him get into his car and drive off.

God, this hurt so much more than it was supposed to. This wasn’t just a bruised ego, she had fallen for him, hard. But what was she going to say to him anyway?

  Pick me?

There was no point. He was never going to see her as anything other than a brat.

Tears formed in her eyes and her lips began to quiver.

She heard Thomas enter the room. “Ah sweetie,” he said, coming towards her. He wrapped his arms around her in a hug, and she burst into tears. “Ah…there, there, sweetheart.” He patted her gently on the back.

  CHAPTER TWENTY

  James

Finally, things were about to fall into place, James thought to himself as he got home. He should have set this in motion right from the start, but at least the ball was rolling now. “Hello Thomas,” he said as the man opened the door for him.

“Sir,” Thomas replied, his usual cheeriness absent. “May I take your coat, sir?”

“Thank you.” He handed him his coat,

  Thomas only grunted in response.

Frowning he asked, “Are you all right, Thomas?”

Thomas looked at him, and held his breath for a moment, before it all came pouring out of him. “Am I all right? Oh, I’m fine, but maybe it’s not me you should be worried about…but I would just like to say, for the record, that she is absolutely lovely, and you…well, quite frankly, you’re a damn fool if you can’t see that.”

“I can see that,” he told him. What was going on here?

“Then you might want to let her know,” he said pointedly.

“I will do just that,” James told him, but didn’t feel the need to tell him that he had rushed home for exactly that reason. He was done fighting his feelings.

“Well good…um…I better go then. Good night, Sir.”

  “Good night,” he said absentmindedly.

He had a really bad feeling, but didn’t want t
o ask Thomas. He needed to talk to Katherine, and just then she came down the stairs, stopping in mid-step when she saw him.

He’d gotten used to her beautiful smile greeting when he got home, but she wasn’t smiling. “James, your home,” she said in a flat tone, and continued down the stairs, stopping by a stack of packed bags by the foot of the stairs.

“The fuck is this?” James pointed at the bags, feeling his insides twisting.

“I’m leaving. Please tell the guards to let me pass,” she said, hugging her arms around herself.

  “No,” he said stubbornly.

“This is imprisonment, I’ll call the cops if I have to,” she threatened.

  “Kitty—”

  “No, don’t call me that.”

He tried again, “Kitty, please…can’t we talk about this?”

“Nothing to talk about. I’m going home,” she said, avoiding eye contact.

“To the sorority house? How are you going to get there?”

  “Someone will pick me up.”

  “Someone like Paul?” He growled.

“Maybe, it’s none of your concern.” She turned to leave.

“The hell it is.” He grabbed her arm, spun her around, and pulled her against him. She wouldn’t look at him, so he put his finger under her chin and made her.

Her eyes were shiny. She was fighting the tears, and he felt like he’d been punched in the gut. This was his fault. “Kitty,” he whispered, “I didn’t—”

“No,” she cut him off and pulled out of his embrace. “You don’t need to explain anything to me, but I really need to leave now. I’m grateful, I really am, for all you done for me, for your hospitality—”

“Hospitality? Kitty, come on, talk to me.”

She sighed. “Look, I know it wasn’t supposed to mean anything, but it did to me. It still does, and I don’t know how to turn it off. The only thing I can do is leave. So please, let me go.”

  “No.”

  “James…please,” she begged.

“No, you are not going anywhere.” She pursed her lips, getting angry with him. He didn’t care, there was no way he was letting her go, especially after what she just admitted.

“Please James, can’t you understand it hurts? Jesus, you just got back from a date with other woman.”
